EHC Conference 2023 “Close Encounters of the Equid Kind”

The 2023 Equine History Collective Conference ‘Close Encounters of the Equid Kind’ will be held in hybrid format from September 28-October 1, 2023 at Roger Williams University (Bristol Campus) in Rhode Island!

Keynote Speaker

The keynote speaker for our 2023 Equine History Collective conference will be Dr. Katherine Mooney!

Dr. Mooney will be speaking on “Superhorses and Horse Girls” For more information about Dr. Mooney, her keynote talk, and the Zoom link to join online if you are attending virtually rather than in-person, follow this link.

Program

The preliminary program for the conference can be found here. Thursday’s sessions will all be delivered virtually; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will have sessions with a mixture of in person and virtual papers.  To find out more about each of the talks and presentations, check out the abstract booklet.

Conference hotel

The official conference hotel is Mount Hope Farm, please email innkeeper@mounthopefarm.org for preferential room rates and booking details. See: https://www.mounthopefarm.org/inn. They will hold rooms for us until the end of September.
